A customer got me with this mainly because he first asked if I'm good with English... of course I answered incorrectly cause I was thinking in terms of English and not Math.... So Anywho it got me thinking a little bit about perspective.
Now perspective can be defined as multiple things depending at what angle you are coming from (that being one of the definitions of the word itself) And it really makes some things just look outright funny. I mean even ones perspective of the word perspective can change. Do you think of it as how close or far an object is when you hear the word. Or does your mind instantly think "Peoples different points of view on an issue"?

Well whichever is the case you end up participating in examining perspective just by answering that question.

So when you look at the title question, you can be right if you say "2 and 8 is 5" because you are looking at the grammar in an English perspective. Or you can be correct by saying "Both statements are wrong!" Because you are answering from a mathematical perspective.
So yeah, that's perspective in a nutshell. It's a fun thing to play around with. I like confusing people.

As Masa would say "It's delicious"  and then he'd eat... Where did you get that sandwich from Masa?

The title loosely has to do with today's Jarble. I'm essentially talking about stubbornness (namely my own past stubbornness)
You ever notice how many double letters are in stubbornness... it's funny...oh anyways
In the past I used to not like having some one "Edit and critic" my stories, I used to have the mindset "I'm an awesome righter and I think it's great the way it is" But I'm a little more mature than that now and realize that even the best writers (which I do not feel I'm among) need to have their stories and such reviewed and edited. I used to feel like I didn't have control if some one else told me to change something I wrote, and that is the thing. I do not have control. I said I was writing Melodies of Nitria for God so he has control, and if that is the case then I should embrace the help God has given me through my team. I am blessed to have those who would constructively critisize my work and help me build it up to be the great story it's going to be. A tower is not built by one man, but built by a team. And I thank God for my team. If it weren't for their input MoN would probably be a lot less entertaining.
So as Harmony would say "Don't try to do it on your own Lazarus... Everyone is here for you" (Ok that's a little cheesy I know XD)

So yeah I noticed this logbook was looking pretty empty so I decided it's high time I posted something...
I'm Pydyvixl that's P Y D Y V I X L. I'm 19 and a bagger, not beggar, at (store name removed to protect the innocent...from horrible horrible things) But you probably didn't need to know all that. Anyways I have been working on MoN for such a long time, it's actually changed a total of five times. So let's go back in time and track it's development

In the beginning God created the heaven and earth... Wait that's too far back
Ok the year is 2006 and I was in Eighth grade. I spent hours upon hours on the computer because I lived in the middle of no wheres in a small town in North Carolina. One day I was bored so I went and made random avatars on Techtech (a Gaia avatar creator site) and decided to make them characters in a sprite comic. I called the Comic Songs of Nitria, but I decided that I liked the word "Melodies" Better (this was inspired by the final fantasy song Melodies of Life)
The Sprite Comic was a parody of RPG games in which the hero entered a tournament with his best friend but from there got mixed up in a war with Nitria and Sollu. I only made 27 pages (which was only one and a half chapters) before I lost all my progress.

Two years later I moved back to my home town in CT where I reunited with my two best buddies in the world. One day while Cursed Soldier and I were hanging out we saw a video of a real live final fantasy on youtube. ... Read more »

Tonight we had a long overdue development meeting. We addressed several points including plot the demo I promised in January and some Character Changes, so Phantom Vyb. will actually be progressive in the next month as we have agreed to have weekly meetings to get some serious work done. Over this week I'll be working on the demo getting it to a presentable stare, Pyd will be Writing the next few parts of the story for adaption and CS will be reworking those stats we love so very very much.

Also Expect some Site Updates too including new Staff Bios and maybe some new Galleries and Game Screenshots. Drop a Comment of support and tells us what you think Phantom Vyb. needs to do and I'll bring it up next meeting. Adios!

I'm sure the few of you who frequent this site have noticed a lack of updates since January, if you remember I was discussing a upcoming demo well here is the story on what happened to us.

Development was going strong I was have way through the demo but then some trouble set in. Some of you might know that before Pyd moved he did the majority of the in game scripting and event creation, since then I was essentially left to the task and as I was learning the process (which I'm quite good at now) several Bugs appeared, these bugs became my top priority but ultimately stressed me out, since Pyd had no net at the time I couldn't ask his thoughts on the bugs and since CS is almost dumbfounded by the technical errors (funny since he does all the numbers) I was isolated in this fight, so as my stress continued to rise I quit working on the demo leaving it half finished. My job is world and map creation, not bug repair. A couple bugs I'd like to mention are
  • AMS crash- Our automated Message Script suddenly stopped working so I had to find a new one, Luckily this has been essentially fixed
  • Missing Move- Because of the way our Battle system is coded, one of our character's moves doesn't work properly, this still is a problem
  • Monster Strength- Though the stats worked originally now it seems monsters are to strong or to weak
  • Monster Chase- In our system monsters chase you down on the over world then you fight, this wasn't working last time I check ... Read more »

Its been a while since I gave an update on MON. Well yesterday Pydyvixl sent us his script so far (16 pages) and after reading it aloud (in Silly Voices) CS and I had a discussion on our next move and have decided to begin work on a second demo, this one will look much more like the finished product and takes the plot from the first 3 pages of Pyd's script. I reworked these pages adding more dialogue last night and we just finished informing Pyd the plan this morning and what he needs to get to me by the end of the week. So Team Vyb. will be in hyper drive this next 2 weeks (taking full advantage of my winter intercession) in producing that demo.

Man its gotten so boring up here since Pyd left... He living with his girl now and is probably having lots of fun without me. Mostly I just miss hanging with him on the weekends and walking around town just chatting it up as we complain about the heat and hills. Yup... really bored up here. I also hope he working on MoN's story right as I type this. You better come back for a visit soon man.

Today is a glorious day MON made some serious head way this morning when Cursed Soldier and I finished stats for all the Characters, I just finished testing the system versus a couple of Shadow Stalkers and it provided a challenge for a Level 1 character. The Stat system has been bugging me for a while because we didn't have a actual system set up to create additional characters, before we were just using numbers in the back of a Final Fantasy VIII Strategy Guide. So I commissioned CS to get back to work on it last night after I had spent a month calculating digits into a calculator after I took the job from him. (At the Time he was short a computer and whenever he could work he'd do map sets anyways.) Well he impressed me because in our search for some stuff he wrote up on Hanreamdo we found a system he was using in a different game. I told him to rework it a bit and the next morning he was done. So every shoot Cursed a couple Reputation points for pushing this project one step to completion.

Now a Stat system done I next plan to apply it to all the monster groups, create a few more maps, reorganize the Skills and Spells menu, and Update some graphics. Overall a 2nd demo maybe released soon to get a feel for the direction we need to take this game. Peace Out.

MON has made a lot of progress since my last update, The majority of the glitches that plagued the demo have been fixed but a few more have been found that mainly effect map passibility for our new Map set. Story has been put on a hold until the majority of the Town Maps are finished at this point we have only created 4 more additional towns besides Nitrapolis and one or two more should be finished by next week. Also if anyone has noticed MON now has a group of pages on the Phantom Vyb. Website including a FAQ, Character List and World Description the group is half way done but Character and World needs to have info posted and a couple more pages to be posted
