| ok so i've probly mentioned i was going to honduras before, and that will be happening next week!!! i'm leaving Monday, March 19 and i'll b returning the following sunday. this is for a mission trip with my church, and we'll be helping out Magote Church of Christ and some other things (building houses, visiting homeless shelter, etc.) and we r staying at Baxter Institute, which is a pretty safe place. all this stuff is around the capitol, tegucigaple. It's a pretty dangerous area, there's lots of gang/cartel activity and american kidnappings, and a lot of people down there huff glue and things like that bcuz they're too poor to afford real floors, let alone a ton of drugs and alcohol (especially all the homeless people i'll b visiting) so my parents are pretty worried (understandable, though my mom is coming too) i'm really excited though and the only thing i'm worried about at all is my lack of spanish-speaking ability and not knowing how to share the Gospel with someone who doesn't know english... it's possible, just harder because it'll rely a lot more on how i act in every single situation and not at all on what i say... so i'd like some prayers about all that stuff please! (: i've been waiting a long time to go on this trip and i know this is where God wants me to be, i just want to do exactly the right things He wants me to. there's 16 people going, with 1 and a half spanish speakers, but hopefully we'll all be ok and come home safe! please pray for all of us!~<3 (i kno it's not a prayer request thread, but this is a departure after all)
